Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea invites you to their annual Picnic on the parish grounds at Holy Rosary Church and School, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea.

Friday, July 12, 5 – 10 p.m.
Saturday, July 13, 5 – 11 p.m.

Live Entertainment:  Flaxy Morgan on Friday, playing from 6:00-10:00pm; and The Sperrazza  Band reunion on Saturday, playing from 7:00-11:00pm.

Early Bird Flea Market opens Thursday, July 11, from 5:30-8:30 pm In the Holy Rosary School Auditorium.  Many items to choose from:  small furniture, vintage decorations, glassware, vinyl records, books, small appliances, gadgets, yard items, and much, much more!!!!

Good Shepherd Church, 87 South Hunter Highway in Drums, will hold its annual Summer Festival July 12 (5-10 p.m.), July 13 (1-10 p.m.) and July 14 (1-7 p.m.) on the parish grounds.

Entertainment includes North of 40 (July 12 from 6-10 p.m.), Late Arrivals (July 13 from 1-4 p.m.), Tommy Molinaro (July 13 from 4-6 p.m. and July 14 from 1-3 p.m.), Kartune (July 13 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.), fireworks (July 13 from 9:30-10 p.m.), and The Legends (July 14 from 3-6 p.m.).

The festival features all of your food and beverage favorites including chicken fingers, haluski, halupki, sausage and pepper hoagies, pierogies, potato pancakes, pulled pork, steak hoagies, funnel cakes, beer, and wine coolers. There will be games for kids and adults, tricky tray and raffle ticket chances on sale, and face painting by The Magical Paint Brush.

Sacred Heart Polish Picnic in Dupont – August 3, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The Polish Picnic will be held at the Picnic Grove, 215 Lackawanna Ave, Dupont.

Food offerings include pierogi, golombki (pigs in the blanket), halushki, kielbasi, placki (potato pancakes) and more.

This picnic offers delicious ethnic foods, theme baskets, games of chance, a beer tent and music by Stanky and the Coal Miners.

St. Jude Parish 71st annual Picnic in the Grove

DATES:  Friday, August 9th – 4:00-10:00 PM

               Sunday, August 11th – 12:00 Noon-8:00 PM

PICNIC FEATURES:

Join us in the Grove, 420 South Mountain Boulevard, Mountain Top, PA for the 71st Annual St. Jude Parish Picnic. There is something for everyone – delicious food including homemade pierogi’s and haluski, fantastic music, a huge basket raffle and an open pit Chicken BBQ Dinner on Sunday, starting at noon.

Blessed Sacrament Parish 215 Rebecca Street, in the Mid Valley community of Throop will be holding their 17th Annual Family Festival on Saturday & Sunday August 10 and 11. Saturday will begin with a 9AM Youth Event on the Parish Grounds. Free T-shirt to all participants, ages 13 and under, boys & girls. The outside food stands will be opened from 3PM to 9PM. Traditional ethnic and picnic foods including Pigs-in-the-Blanket, Haluski, Potato Pancakes, Pierogi (both Butter & Onions and Fried), Sausage & Peppers,

Pizza Frita, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Wimpies, Funnel Fries, Ice Cream, Bake Sale, and New this year—Porchetta Sandwich, and Piggy Soup!!!

On Sunday, August 11 B-I-N-G-0 in the Parish Hall doors open at Noon with a special inside food menu. Basket Raffle and 50/50 Grand Prize Drawing will round out Sunday’s festivities.
