Catholic Social Services case managers work to alleviate the financial burden of individuals and families facing crisis situations, as well as provide supportive services to achieve self sufficiency.

- Emergency assistance to prevent homelessness with rent or mortgage payments
- Rental deposits
- Utility payments and utility deposit assistance
- Prescription assistance
- Transportation assistance
Relief Assistance (both Carbondale and Scranton)
-Must fall within 150% of Federal Poverty Guidelines
-Must have steady income
-No security deposits
-One month of rent: past due, current, first month
-No utility payments/deposits
-No prescription payments/plans
-Transportation assistance – Carbondale only (for right now)
